Default Air Filter part number

I'm looking to get a AEM air filter, and I'm not sure what part number I need. Motor is 6.0/lq9. The car has an air lid that says LS1.

I wasn't sure if all 6.0 air filters were the same part number or not. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Your lid says LS1 right on it?

Yeah, I can see an imprint of the decal that was on it that says LS1.

Hmm I've never seen that. I've only seen the SLP one. Have any pics?

Here's a few. You can't see where the ls1 decal was in the pics. The air filter in there measures roughly 16x8

That looks identical to a SLP to me. I have a 6.0 but the air lid is still the same as before. The filter for a LS1 should be the same

Thanks, I believe I found the right one. I guess my car has the original Camaro sized air filter, even though it's a 6.0. Do people do that a lot when there doing swaps?

Yep that looks right. When swapping to a 6.0 the air lid remains the same unless someone changes it...which applys to the LS1 as well. It's no different. Get yourself a good ram air setup like the SSRA or Chris1313, and LS6 intake if you don't have one already, or maybe a Fast intake if you can afford it

Thanks, intake is the one thing that I don't know about the car, as far as what's on it. I've got the rest of the specs on the motor, trans, rearend. Previous owner used it as a drag car, it's just a street toy for me though.

PRC heads, I think those are made by Texas speed? And cam is a custom grind from bullet cams.

Yes PRC is Texas Speed . Do you know which ones, and the specs in the cam?

No unfortunately, I can see PRC marked on the heads, that's it. I didn't get the cam card, all I know on it is it sounds really good haha. The rear is a fully locked ford 9 inch with 4.56 gears, I may have to drive my other ride on rainy days lol. I've heard they can be difficult on wet roads.

Gotcha. It can be a handful if you're on slicks or certain types of drag radials in the rain
