What is this LS engine?

What is this LS engine?

Hi all.
My intro in relevant section and I need help identifying an engine I am just about to buy!
I am in the UK if its any relevance!
I know the engine has never been run. And its a cast iron block and its a 6 litre.
Not picked it up yet so haven't got any numbers yet.
So what is it?!!!

Iron means truck/van. 6.0 stamp is the displacement. So it's probably LQ4 but could be LQ9. LQ9 is worth a bit more if it's all stock. If it's been worked over with different internals then the price should be the same regardless of how it started its life.

Looks like an LQ4, same as I've got in my 53 Belair.

Tell us what heads are on it. There is a 3 digit number in the front or rear corner of the head, up by the valve cover. Could be a LY6, or L76? The number will likely be 317, or 823. The truck engines all look the same. Tell us what heads, and you’ll know what it is.

Its not an LQ4 or LQ9. Intake manifold is a dead giveaway that its a gen 4 engine, which is neither of those.

Would need slightly better pics of block, intake manifold, and timing cover from other angle to determine without any casting numbers.

Its a dead ringer for an LY6. Would need to see that timing cover to be sure.
