Today was pulling the interior to install sound dampener and fuel pump.

Well, after pulling the seats and carpet.. I found a yellow electrical connection under the drivers side seat, but it wasn't connected to anything.

It says caution this is for the SIR circuit or something and the ....

I don't know what this is or if it should be connected. Any help would be appreciated..

The more I tear into this car. The more crap I find that worries me.

Found out that this connector is supposed to be connected to a airbag module under the center console. The Module is nowhere to be found ...

What the hell is going on ... where can I purchase a new airbag module?

does your airbag light come on? If it dosnt, id suspect someone broke the bulb and then traded her in. Did you buy the car used?

Yep..
I bought the car used in Dec..

I'm about to install some guage overlays.. I'll check then to see if the bulb has been removed or broken.. Because I don't have an airbag light, but I do have a Service Vehicle Light.

So as my car stands right now, the air bags are useless

A couple more questions...

I know the airbag module isn't under the center console.. Gotta get a new one.

How can I check to make sure that the damn car even has airbags still? I don't wanna pull the car apart. Well, the only thing in the car right now is the dash. I just want to make sure that the car even has airbags.

That airbag module under the console is also a crash recorder (black box). If it's missing, either someone wrecked the car and their insurance company pulled the box, or the previous owner didn't want his actions recorded in case something happened.

Yep..

Pulled the bezel today, and "what do you know?" the little led that's supposed to illuminate airbag is gone

This crap sucks..
