Default Z28 - Ultra Z

Any opinions? This is also something I am considering. I love the hood. And the new air system is neato.

You should definitely get that hood. I have it on my car & I must say it is the best looking hood I have ever seen on a camaro. Pictures dont do it justice until you see one in person. Just my .02 though

My favorite hood is the ram air II from carhoods.com- check it out!

I love the ultra Z hood-much smarter design than the SS ram air intake system- but there is just something so cool about the SS hood as it is. It's a much more classic look IMO. Ultra Z is more unique though and no one will try to say you are trying to make a Z28 look like an SS.

anyone that says that is retarded anyways. Just because you put a ebtter looking hood on a z28 doesnt mean you want to be a SS

my z28 looks 100x better now, with the hood

Oh..and the ultra Z hood is pretty sweet..but I do like the SS hood more

I'm pretty sure no one will say anything about you trying to make your car look like an SS, since that is a really popular hood and its not like making a SS clone is very uncommon.

Ive tried twice, I think if I get a bigger fuel pump that i can do it. The NOS keeps shutting off about the 8th. B/C of lack of fuel. But im working on it.

I've got no problem with making an SS clone as long as it's not based on the V6-that just doesn't seem right to me. I plan to get an SS hood for my Z28 in the future as well. I do love the Ultra Z but don't plan on using the ram air so the SS hood would just be for looks.

yeah man I think I am going to get it. It's beatiful and full of horsepowery goodness. I love the SS too, its so elegant and a classic design, but there's SO many of them around me I dont want to be just another SS. Whoa how messed up does that sound?! "Just another SS." but seriously there are a load of them around. and I think I'm gonna go for the SS spoiler too. anyways Im gonna try to get some pix of my baby up tomorrow.

actully I'll just post my intentions:

current: 1998 Z28 - Silver - Magnaflow Catback

october:
slp air box lid
new MAFS
SLP air induction set
Hypertech or Diablo tuning
Slotted Rotors
Ultra Z hood
SS Spoiler
SS re-badge
2 new under chassis strut supports
Fodymotorsports bellows replacement
LS6 intake mani.

new PAINT JOB!!!

oh hey also does anyone know if you can take out that honey comb grille just after the airbox bellows? seems like nothing gets up there and I bet it would free up a lot more air. okay cya soon.,.
