Yeah, they did all the no no mods, the mods people think are good but aren't. Like shorty headers, and a MAF......Once again proving my theory that the HPTV guys know nothing!!

it was a rerun on the next episode they put on edelbrock headers, hypertech tuner and something else and the power only bumps up to like 324hp

Food for thought:

I would bet that the parts that they installed had little or nothing to do with what worked good or what they thought would work good and everything to do with the big name companies paying them big bucks to put their **** on the car.

HPTV does know what they are doing but they have to pretty much do what the powers that be tell them to do in a situation like that.

seriously, flowmaster commercial comes on every 5 seconds and in every episode they find a way to advertise edelbrock. its just like most magazines, its pretty entertaining but they all have hidden (or in this case not so hidden) agendas.

Chuck Hanson is the president of ACES and used to be a Car Craft staffer. The guys knows what he is doing. Elmore I think might be clueless.

However, that show is intended as a vehicle for advertising. Whoever pays them the most money gets their parts on the car.

Joe: Now it's time for HOT PARTS...a time to plug the products that bid the highest to get their crap on TV. We know these will do little or nothing for your particular application, but hey, we gotta support ourselves and our stables of cars. Old Chevys, Fords, and Dodges aren't cheap to rebuild...err I mean look at the great parts. I would imagine these would add the extra tone and PUNCH that you are looking for...without taking a big PUNCH out of your wallet.

The only good mod they did besides the Lid was the B&M shifter, although I would have gone with the Pro 5.0, but atleast they did something right.
