It would also be my first car that is not AWD turboed, having owned only the WRX and the DSM AWD, i finally get a car that can misbehave, looking forward to it, now only if my rents didn't ream me for wanting another car, right when my insurance just dropped from $350/month to only $230/month.

[QUOTE=antz01ta]i wish you were closer to me, i would hand you your *** with my
2500hd CCSB 4wd 7000lb duramax truck, i have about a dozen kills
on 03-04 GT's. it runs 14.5's all day long. and yes it has taken 3
GT's at the track on 2 different nights. When they are stock they
will run 14.9 - 15.2 driver depending.[/Q7UOTE]

Be careful, I have a friend with a 2000 GT stock except for new sprngs and sfc's and it ran a 14.3 about 3 carlengths behind me when I ran a 13.7. They can keep up pretty well for what they have under the hood!

Although you are definetly more than competition for most GT drivers if you run a 14.5!

Its unfortunate that it costs 15 g's to get m3's into 12's. My buddy has a manual dinan M3 with just about every bolt on/suspension mod. It runs low 13's. Different story on a road course, but their not drag racing masters.

Most new mustang GT's, decently driven, weill do better than 14.5. They are capable of ~13.9-14.2 from what I see.

Race your friend from a 90 MPH roll. View how many bus-legnths you will put on him by 110. It will be funny.

The M3 you ran must've been an older one. You can only get the traditional M6 or the SMG in the latest and greatest M3.

Those times see fine for an M3 if the driver messed up or the conditions were not great. An E36 M3 would never trap at 102, simply not fast enough.

Never seen an M3 even an 04 or an 05 even hit 13's at my local track ... They are not very quick... The M5 and the Lightning would be the only close ones ...

THIS IS SO VERY TRUE. EACH CAR OF THE SAME MODEL IS DIFFERENT, ENGINE IS BUILT A LITTLE DIFFERENT, CHASSI, DRIVE LINE, TRANS, ETC. THE POWER IN EACH CAR VARIES. THEN THERE'S THE DRIVER TO THROW IN THE MIX. ON ANY GIVEN DAY, ANYONE THAT IS THIS CLOSE HAS A CHANCE.

Okay, let me post this again.

A Mustang cannot beat an LS1. Simply cannot happen. Please refer to this guide if you're a Mustang owner that thinks you may have beaten an LS1.

#1 The LS1 cannot be beaten.
#2 All Mustangs are stock.
#3 All LS1s run mid/high 12s bone stock from the factory.
#4 Even the 03 Cobra is a mid 13 car.
#5 The LS1 was not racing.
#6 The LS1 was parked.
#7 The LS1 was just playing with you.
#8 The LS1 was actually a V-6 with Z28 badges.
#9 The LS1 was actually an LT1, which can only be beaten by an LS1.
#10 The race does not count because it ended before 160mph.
#11 The race does not count because it did not start from a roll.
#12 The race does not count because the LS1's passenger was performing oral on the driver.
#13 The race does not count because the LS1 was not properly tuned.
#14 If you still feel your Mustang may have beaten an LS1, please see #1.

I won't begin to comment on that besides one thing that is blatently obvious: When was the last time you heard an LS1 driver say that the race only counts if it's from a roll?? That post =
I think there is a good reason why you are posting that "again"

I didn't get all of it, my bad. That was taken from a mustang owners sig off another site. I posted it somewhere else earlier, but I thought it was funny and kinda ironic for a stang guy to have that for a sig. Sorry for the screw up.

Unless that TA has a gold-plated interior, don't get it. There are MUCH better deals out there. Check autotrader every day and you are bound to come across some very good deals.

That also depends on where you are running. Where I run at in Bristol, Tn. the best I have been able to eek out was 13.56 @ 103 and thats with lid/headers/!cats/catback/SFC's. I dont consider myself to be a good driver really, but there are few people that run well at Bristol that cant run faster elsewhere.

That same suck *** air should have put you into the 15's. Anyway the
times that your buddies let you win are irrelevant.

This thread is comparing equal driving abilities. Car vs Car. Both Stock.
>>>>>>>>>> And your car LOSES <<<<<<<<<<

Psst, my car loses too. LS1 beats us both.
