Default Stock HP ratings?

I have read my car (2000 Z28) should have 305hp 335tq stock. Is this crank hp or rwhp?
I also see that GM under rated the hp in some articles. How true is this? If its true then what would be the true hp or my car stock?

SEARCH!!!

Then search some more.

It is rated at the flywheel, but will prodcue at least that (if not more) at the wheels the majority of the time. Stock LS1's usually make at least 330-350 flywheel hp, though there are lots of variables in that.
If you want to know, put it on a dyno. Better yet, run it at the track.

I have been looking online for about 30 mins searching. I was using google not much came up except what I stated above so I thought I'd ask. I have gone to the track a few time but I am sorry to say that I am not a mathematician and I cant deduce hp from running time when I am not a pro anyways. There are to many variables like reaction time, spinning of tires if any, weather, and so forth to make an accurate to the 1hp equation don’t you think? Being my car is mostly stock I don’t care to take her to the dyno yet. Just thought I'd ask and maybe I'd find out more from that.

Reaction time does not effect one single thing as far as ET/MPH/HP, etc. NOTIHING.
You searched with Google? lol, this site does have a search button, you know...that is what is meant by searching. Your track times are more important than your hp anyway.

Edit: What did you run?

If the search button was so important, they'd put it at the top of every page.

GM did underate the F-Bodys

And, the only way to know your HP is to have it dynoed. Each car can vary some.

ET is not HP at all...When you calculate it out it doesnt matter wat your 60' is or reaction time,if u ran 13.11 at 114 mph it doesnt matter...

Take your best AVERAGE MPH from all of your slips figure it out then find a calculator online...and it should get you close..

I Know You Do. I Hoped That You Were Being Sarcastic But Who Knows. Plus I'm Tring To Get To 50 Post So That I Can Post Some Stuff For Sale. As Far As Coming To The "lightside" It Was By Chance Fate Or Whatever. I Went To A Local Gm Dealership To Look At A 04 Gt Stang. When I Got There It Was A Manual And I Wanted The Auto. There Was A Guy Trading In The Formula At The Time. He Bought A New Vette. He Took Me For A Test Drive And Told Me The Fuel Pump Had Gone Out In It And It Took Them 2 Days To Replace It. So He Bought A Vette. The Sales Man At The Dealership Sold Me The Car For What He "had In It For Trade" $13500 And A 1 Year Warrenty. It Was To Good To Pass Up!!! 40+++ MORE HP T-TOPS AND JUST AS CLEAN AS A NEW CAR. THE DEALERSHIP EVEN BOUGHT ME 4 NEW GOODYEAR EAGLE ULTA HP + TIRES MOUNTED BALANCED AND ALIGNED AND IT WAS $6000 CHEAPER THAN THE STANG AND IT HAD LESS MILES.

exstanger, sounds like you got a good deal on your car. How many miles are on it?

Also, why is the first letter of every word capitalized?

at 23,500 miles that's still a great deal...

There's a dealer here that has a 2001 WS6 with 20k miles for $23,500 and another one with a 2001 T/A with 53K for $19,990.

Enjoy your ride!
