What's the highest top speed you've driven?

Well I do believe you. I don't know how accurate my speedometer is. I live in Germany and I have a european speedometer gauge that ends with 270Kmh~168mph. The fastest I was driving was 266Kmh~166mph

Is there a digital speedometer for the ls1 to see exact speed readings?

@msbz_ls1
those ugly lights are fog lights. All european models have this bumper with those lights. The highway in Germany is very good for top speed driving and it's legal.

160 is the top speed? the speedo reads 155 at max, thats kind of weird... and i thought that the camaro was electronically limitied to a certain speed, therefore how can you do 160 stock?

160 is where its limited. I remember watching a video of a white TA in LVfbody doing 160 and his car hitting the speed limiter.

However if your car got the winter tire package your car shuts down at 117 or so because of the tire's speed rating.

152mph here. Those telephone poles really fly by! Just cant seem to trust pushing it any faster. I, too, shat myself when the car started driving ME. I quickly grew a lot more respect for professional drivers who drive 200 laps at near 200mph.

Yup, I think top speed is around 160ish... The exact number is going to vary a little bit between cars...

160+ in my Trans Am, the speedo was buried but I was still gaining rpms. I haven't been over 10mph over the limit in my vette though. The only way I would do another high speed run is on a closed track.
