Just be careful in it. Street racing is not worth your life is all we are saying. The car can get away from you pretty quickly. If must drive fast, take it to the track like we do.

i remember saying back when i got my car that i would baby it and not race around town, well look at my car now, two broken rims, hole in the oil pan, bent lower control arm, and minor body damage, but i did learn one thing from all this, trying to pass two semis before my lane merged with their lane while its raining and driving on bald tires.......NEVER AGAIN!!!

my car, 02 a4 z28, completely stock ran 13.8s, and we have crappy track and conditions. i would imagine he would at least be in the 13.5s or better. go run it and come back and tell us!

Then what are you waiting for? Take it to the track.

Then again, since you have so much track experience, you should have been able to make an educated guess on what you'd run.

anybody know if you have to get a tune after puting a ls6 intake on? also i was looking at a pair of bolt on slp sub frame connectors but was wondering how hard they are to intsall. i heard there might be problems with the clearance with the loudmouth exhaust.

i see you already have a tune, but typically boltons dont need a tune. i would wait until you do something major like cam/heads/stall to do a tune. because with those you will need it

HP tuners, tune it at home whenever you feel like it

so your telling me you have NEVER ever raced anyone on the street? not so much as a quick sprint?......thats what i thought. which is exactly the point i was making. its not about "hey my dick is bigger than yours", its just a gene that most of us speed enthusiasts are born with.

it is rather pointless to shake a fist at him and say "never ever ever ever race on the street", give me a break.

Dude don't BS yourself! I told my dad the exact same thing when he bought me my SS. You live up to what you say for a while, but after that you get comfortable with the car and one thing leads to another. And if its got any kind of power its like you got something to prove to the car next to you that revs their V6 up at you. Its a great car be carefull and enjoy it. Oh yeah and dont go anywhere in it where you dont want to be noticed because its gonna turn more heads than you can imagine! Have fun!

I can tell you first hand, you get arrested and a suspended license for racing.

No I have NEVER, EVER raced anyone on the street. So apparently it's not what you thought, Lol. I'll give you a break but the local police may not. Think about it. I race at the drag strip. I used to live 10 minutes from one but now I'm 45 minutes. Still not too bad and it's a heck of a lot more fun IMO.

I have a wife and three kids depending on me for financial support. I can't afford to lose my license or make my wife a widow over a stupid street race.
