Default H/C or NX kit?? 12 bolt?? Opinions please..

Heres another newbie mod thread..Ive had a couple LS1 cars but this one will be the first Ive done anything too..

Car currently has the following..
TCI converter, Lid, Brian green ram air, Pacesetter LT's, P/P TB, Comp Cam, LS6 intake,3.73's..
Have vig 3200 converter, full rear suspension sitting here as well as Weld Prostars w/ ET streets..

Should I step up to a set of Stage 2.5 5.3 heads or just spray it to death..Have the hookup with NX through a buddy..

Car needs a better cam, looks like I can get a nice H/C package for around $2000, but the NX is around $500..I just cant see the H/C making enough power to make it worth the $$ difference..

Also considering dropping the cash to put a 12 bolt in it, opinions??

Someone please help..

12 bolt definatly...you will need it the first time you launch on those et streets...where are you finding a heads/cam package for $2000 because heads alone will cost you that...and that are cheap ones...cams another $300-$500 and unless you are doing it yourself installation is going to cost a lot too....nitrous is cheap power...but power nonetheless...i prefer my power there all the time...howver others may disagree...that is really your preference

Talking with TSP about the PRC Stage 2 -5.3 heads and Magicstick..Possibly a Futral Cam, there cam package is more,I think around 700..I was considering doing the heads/NX/12 bolt and leaving the cam thats in it but was told its not good for nitrous..224 221 .581 .566 113 LSA..

Another vote for the 12 bolt here (or better yet 9") Build everything around to hold the power then build the power. That way you and your car are not broke at the same time.

Do a search on that one man. There's more than enough info (very recent at that) to cover all your rear end questions.

it is true...however it holds more power as well...if you don't have traction control then you won't be able to use abs with a 9"

cam needs more exhaust duration than intake to work well with nitrous. when sprayed, your motor has more trouble getting **** out than in

I hear ya, the cam they put in it isnt a nitrous friendly setup for sure..I think Im going to go with a package from one of the sponsors..Stage 2 5.7 heads and a custom ground cam to work with and without the spray..
