Default SLP cold air induction??

Curious if anyone has installed SLP's cold air induction kit and if it's worth the $$?? Comments are extremely welcome...

I have it. It is a very good question if it did anything for I couldn't tell. It *should* do something but I couldn't feel it. I got it because it wasn't as low as the SSRA/FTRA since they could suck up water so I got this one.

ssra and ftra make gains at the track, and are worth the $, but i would look for one used. also buy or make a block off for when it rains

I have. I must say I felt the throttle response was improved. I also picked up 4 mph at the track. That's the only mod I have done to my car so far. To be fare The first time at the track was in August, then after I did the cold air kit I took it in late Sept. The air was cooler and less humid. Well, that's my .02. Good Luck...... Don

i think the lower da's had more to do with 4 mph then the slp kit.
maybe 1-2 mph came from it

I installed mine (got it used for $50) and I saw a noticeable difference, but I did the lid at the same time. Just wait for a good cold morning....let her warm up a bit and then you'll see...

I got the CAI and there was a tiny improvement. It also gets one side of the air filter real dirty. I haven't seen a notice worth the money though.

I got the whole induction package from SLP for like $299 shipped. I dropped 3 tenths and gained 2 mph, almost 3.

I bought mine because I liked the notion of it being
stainless, and it it a stout piece. But the stainless gets
bugger hot sitting at the light and will raise, not lower
your IAT if you already have an SS hood. Then when I
went and put my oil cooler I found the CAI and that,
together, pretty much blocked off the center half of
my radiator's area.

Nothing a cutoff wheel, some "pop" rivets and a chunk
of empty Home Depot tree-pot couldn't fix...

Go to ls1.com and read about the "cold air mod". Intake temperature was dropped significantly after this mod. Cost is around $10.
