Default 1998 Z28 potential buy...what do you guys think?

What's goin' on fellas(and ladies, too, I presume.) I've been a normal at ThirdGen.org(had an 87 SC 305) and Pontiacs.org(still have a 1979 Trans Am 10th Anniversary, trying to sell.) I've known about this forum for a while but never felt the urge till now.

My friend has a 1998 Z28 6spd. that I might have the chance to purchase later this winter/early spring and I was wondering what you guys thought/suggestions/price/etc. Here's what he's told me about the car and I'll follow it up with a page with pictures.

- trans fluid change on T56 so its good for another 15-20k
- new battery, power window motor over the summer
- NGK plugs and taylor 10mm wires and front brakes not put in yet
- i did fuel filter too recently
- i put in a B&M ripper shifter
- exhaust is all new, with offroad y pipe
- skip shift is gone
- got ram air kit with a new filter (green filter, like K&N)
- panhard rod(aftermarket)
- subframe connectors
- interior and body are mint
- everything works, lights, signals
- working AC
- Monsoon sound system(CD player, 6 speakers)
- power driver's seat
- new dealer replaced windshield
- oil pump is mok or now, but its kinda weak, it makes 40 psi when driving though
- 3.42 stock rear end
- 10k miles on BFG-kdws tires

- 92k someodd miles on car
- garage kept, he's in college, stays at home with his 66 Charger hahaha

Here's his CarDomain site for it.

http://www.cardomain.com/id/angryredneck

He's asking $9500 for it. Comments? Thanks in advance.

It's got a shifter, SFC's, ram air kit, panhard rod, CAGS is gone. Mods do not add to the value of a car. That car is still 99% stock.

Pontiac seats are much better, I've had several of both cars.

I'd go $8500 max for a 98 Z28 with that many miles. Z28s are a dime a dozen, and I'd still consider that car stock.

i bought a similar mile '99 Z28 for $7500. 6speed, t-tops, leather, etc.. mine came with aftermarket rims, TNT nitrous kit, some other little bolt ons. might not be AS clean, but for me, i wanted to save money. sold everything off of it and in the end paid about $6000 for the car. then i started over with the drag car stuff. good luck!
