Default exhuast tubing and cutouts

aright i know what im going to do on my 02 ws6. i think im gonna go with magnaflow catback system to start and do headers soon after. but does anyone with a trans am know if they like 2.5 or 3 inch tubing...and also what about a cutout?

The Magnaflow system is 3".

If you're going to add a cutout, get a 3" Flowtech cutout and have it installed into the i-pipe. Right below the passenger side rear seat in the little cubby.

It's pointless to by or build a 2.5" catback because that's smaller than the stock diameter 2.75.

I'd guess $30-$60 to install a typical cutout. My local shop charges $65 for a completly custom cutout.

if you are going to put in a cutout then dont waist your money on a catback system.
no catback outflows a cutout.

so i could just put a cutout in my stock exhuast your saying and it will be better then a catback system?

I agree. Cut-outs are a bargin. Nice gain for cheap. You like the sound as well.
