Default truck intakes

4.8 , 5.3 , and 6.0 are they all the same and flow the same or is there one beter then the other.... if what ive read is correct the truck intake is beter then the stock 98LS1 intake.....25344062 what year is this intake and what is it off(motor size)

yea, but are goofy as hell, and to my knowledge, will not fit under a F-body hood.....

Why not just get a ls6 intake like your supposed to?

Your going to suffer on the big end with a truck intake. We are all moving to car intakes for drag racing. mainly LS6 and FAST.

Yep, what the "truck" guy said. Truck intakes are ok for tq numbers, but fall off in the upper rpm's compared to LS6 intakes...They do make good bottom end TQ, but that is what they were designed for...


And no, they will not clear a SS hood either, you'd have to go cowl hood to get it to clear.....Is it really worth all that?

yea i also read the fule lines are diff. im just gona buy a fast intake

Are you stock C.i? Why buy a FAST? there have been more people with problems out of the fast intakes(especially their throttle bodies) than there are people who have recorded tangible gains...
