F-Body Suggestions
Hi, I have a 1999 Honda Civic... just kidding Anyways, I have a 1991 Cutlass Supreme that's about to go to Heaven, and I need a car to replace it. After reading all the nice posts on this website, I've decided to get an F-Body. At the most, I want to spend 15k, and that might be a little too high.
Here's a car in my area that I think is good:
98 Trans Am
It's an automatic, but I read on here about some things that could modify and automatic to make it pretty cool.
I make anywhere from $450-$600 a week, which I think is alright for a college student, so I want to upgrade this car right. I should also go ahead and tell you all that I know nothing about cars, but I'm learning everything I can by reading all the posts on this great site.
I'm also not absolutely set on a Trans Am, if you guys could find a better F-Body or LS1 for my price range in my area (46902).
Thanks a lot ahead of time,
Jeremy

No reason to stick to '01/'02 only. The older models have some advantages IMO, including price. Only thing I really like better about the '01/'02 is the intake. There are other changes on the newer models that I don't like......

Here's some camaros. I searched for birds on this site but none were price friendly.
02 Silver Z sport 35K miles $15000
01 Maroon Z 20K miles GM certified $15000
98 Teal Z 27k miles $9000
There were some others but those were ones I took note of. I found them all on Usedcars.com.

Um... What are you doing to be making nearly $600 a week and in college? I am in college and I only can work ~ 11 hours or so a week. Let me in on your secret please

I work as a programmer for a local county. I make their custom database programs and also help with desktop support. That's about 40+ hours a week, but only monday-friday. I take classes from 5pm-9pm on monday and wednesday nights, then I take two classes each summer term. It's my 2nd year of this kind of schedule, and I wouldn't have it any other way

Oh, and they only took off the Brickyard decals. Even though I'm from Indiana, and go to the Brickyard and 500 every year... I don't want those ugly purple stickers on there
