Default Clunking when traction is lost

Like the title says, there is a clunking noise, and feel that I can feel under my feet that is coming from underneath of my car when I hammer it in 1st and lose traction, and switch to second gear with traction loss too. I thought it was the SLP loudmouth exhaust so I checked it, and all of the bolts are tight, and there is atleast 0.5" of space between the pipes and anything else. Someone told me that it could be my suspension botoming(sp) out in the rear. I have eibach lowering springs, BMR lower control arms, relocation brackets, and BRM adjustable panhard bar. They also mentioned that it might be an engine or transmission mount that might be going bad, but not completely broken. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I replaced my transmission mount last year, had a similar knock to what you are describing, didnt take care of the problem though and i was still trying to figure it out when i put it away for the winter...good luck if you find out...

P.S my old firebird had suspension bottoming out, and recently someone suggested that my u-joints might be bad and i'm hearing slack in the driveline.

Just jack the car up and check the tailshaft of the transmission and see if you can push it up/move it around.

Mine's doing the same thing. It did it before the trans swap so I figured I would get a poly trans mount while I was installing my new trans. That still didnt fix my problem. It does the same exact thing yours does when it loses traction in 1st & 2nd gear. Im thinking the motor mounts are going bad causing my Y-pipe to bang on the floorboard. Im still curious of what else it could be. Ive checked everything. Im pretty sure its the exhaust though. Have you checked your floorboard for any places that look like its had something touching it?

Thanks for your suggestions, I will look at all that stuff when the weather gets better. I might also have the dealership look at it. Do you guys think the dealership idea is a good idea?

Depends on if you have warranty. If you do, then do you have any mods besides exhuast?

they COULD blame it on the lowering springs...or even the exhaust. but if you dont have a warranty, dont goto the dealer...theyll charge you like 75 bucks to look at it, then tell you that you need _______ and ________. and theyll do it for 2k...thats how it always goes...
