For the price, they are certainly worth it. I don't think I have heard anything bad about them. Just stick with the LS6, don't waste your time with the 5.3's.

The AFR's seem to flow the best and make the most power though.

I have the Patriot 5.3's and I'm happy with them. I would get the LS6 style's, Just make sure you get a cam to compliment the cam for the best results.

I also have the 5.3 "ls6-style" heads. For the price, I am very happy with them. You can get nicer hand-ported heads for sure, and you'll pay for them as well.

bang for buck they are worth it. There have been bad things said but what product hasn't had something bad said about it at sometime. There are nicer heads out there but not for a lot more money. Go for it, get the LS6's.

Patriot never made 5.3 LS6 style. On the 6.0 liter heads are LS6 style that they weld the combustion chambers and then port them.

Ooops, you are correct - 6.0 - not 5.3 ls6 style.

Very important to remember! Like JRP said. Make sure they work well together. Get the right H&C combo as well as the rest of the valvetrain.

So for the patriot stage 2 heads that cost 1395 for a pair, what is the best cam for those? And with that heads/cam package w/ most bolt ons what would i see for rwhp numbers?

There isn't a best cam...depends on what you want...street torque, allout HP for track. 7000 rpms? smog considerations, idle quality, driveability, etc...

Typical stage 2 heads and cam packages can deliver anywhere from 390-430HP and a good combo might bring you near 450 with the right tune. (And that is with full bolt-ons of course)
