On my 1999 Firebird with 65,000 miles:
* I broke the power antenae when going through the car wash but the warranty covered it.
* Front rotors warped.
* Driver side fog light bulb would fail frequently.
On my 2001 Firebird Trans Am WS6 with 42,000 miles:
* Rear rotors warped.
* The driver side window started rattling shortly after buying and the dealer replaced the motor and rail and no problems since.
*** edit ***
For the 2001 TA WS6 I should add a couple things after is tarted modding (which probably played a role in the roblems).
* Passenger side Cat got clogged when at the track.
* O2 sensor on left bank at rear (the one on the driver side after the Cat) was bad after a header install and replaced with a used one.

bought my 98' ws.6 about 2 years ago with 47k and it now has about 50k and 1,200 of those miles are when I bought the car in florida I had to drive it back to ny bc I couldn't find a carrier to transport it for me..when i first bought the car it had a bad axel so the dealer changed it about a year ago I had a headlight motor go and ONE the rear defrosters is hanging off.. but I have had to have new clips installed in the side rocker panels bc they were starting to hang down.

Before I had the car (according to records):
IAC valve died, replaced under warrenty
Pinion seal - replaced by joe blow mechanic lol
Noise coming from shifter - replaced under warrenty
Since I've had the car:
Pinion seal is leaking again - going to fix myself... appears it was done wrong the first time
Passenger side window is dying (surprise, surprise)
Noise is still coming from hurst shifter... I need to take it apart and see what is loose... shifts nice though.
Other than those minor problems... car is great, and runs like a champ.

Jesus, now I feel like my 01 Trans Am is a piece of chit. Seriously tho I knew it was a high maintenance car, previous car was a 95 Z. Car runs great and get compliments on it everday. Heres my never ending list:
-Replaced rotors
-Air pump went/replaced
-battery died today/will replace after work!
-New clutch
-Seat belt plastic holder broke/fixed
-new power steering pump
-new idler/tensioner pulley
-new driveshaft
-bubbles in roof/fixed
I still love my black Trans Am and never plan on selling on, only keeping it clean and restoring it down the road.

I was aware of this recall but this is the first I can recall someone mentioning they had the problem with the paint bubbling on the roof for T-Tops.

I have the chrome 10-spoke rims. The POS chrome lug caps break all the time. Sometimes they just crack while driving. You can't even hand tighten them or they'll break. Every time I take the car in for inspection, I end up with at least 5 more...

I have my 98 Formula with about 60k... A4 by the way.
1. Blown speakers- not fixed yet
2. Power antenna- replaced for free from a doner car
3. Rear drivers side brake line from caliper to bracket above the rear diff- rubbed against another line so i bought a universal brake line and flared out the end myself and replaced it for 3 dollars!
4. Nail in rear passenger tire- plugged it myself for 4 dollars for plug kit.
Other than that it has been very good to me. I have had great luck with used cars.

Low milage has helped me.
1. sub blown
2. did free fix on pass headlight motor
3. pass windown motor slow as hell
4. replaced posi - wore out from to many donuts, burnouts, dragracing.
5. just replaced stock battery
the rest of the problems were related to stuff i did, cut out came loose, b&m trans cooler line blew, aftermarket rear end cover leaks ect
so far at 40k miles its the first car owned with no major problems, I think it only had one claim under warrenty back in the day. Its also the first 4l60E(hardest driven ever too) i've owned thats survived past 40k with 0 problems, and still going strong

01 T/A WS6:
Driver window motor going out.
Driver window won't automatically go down.
Rear window defroster doesn't work.
Only have one key to start the car.
Four warped rotors.
Almost completely bald tires.
Fog light went out.
Damn turn signals fill with water and go out constantly.
Need new tint.
Didn't have t-top holders when I bought the car.
T-tops leak.
Pass. seat belt device snapped. (plastic piece on side of headrest)
Have a ticking noise in the engine right now!!!
Just got a speeding ticket yesterday for going 105 in a 65 and need to pay $245 plus an insurance spike!!
Some things happened before I got the car!!
