Finally got pictures of my new Camaro!
Well I just bought this beauty and I really couldn't be any happier to be honest. I can't wait till it's shipped up here. Hope I can put the pictures straight into here...

It looks all right I guess- if you like awesome looking Camaro SSs.
Great color and I like the black funnel on the hood. It looks like you cleaned her up real nice before snapping the photos- even got the tires nice and black. I still like those classic ZR1s.

I love the zr1's, no way in hell they're being changed out.
And yes, it is a 6 speed. As for mods I have a few things in mind once I have the money. (True dual exhaust, a sound system, and maybe some headers are definitely three that I'd like to see in there by the end of 2006, but I dunno much about cars so I'll just keep reading up and see what to do to it )

you hang out on this board long enough and you will know way more than necessary about ls1 cars TRUST ME
i like the ZR1's too, but, you COULD change the rears out to 17"x11" ZR1's (stock are 17x9.5) and throw some serious tires on them i have 17x11's torq-thrust II's on the rear of mine with 315 nitto drag radials (they WILL fit). plus a set of zr1 wheels doesnt cost much at all, well compared to some other wheels.

How much would the 17x11 zr1's cost and where could I get them? Also: I've been hearing that even a stock engine can snap the rear end on this baby pretty easily...where can I learn about what all I would need to replace on the rear end to make it more reliable, etc? (Costs would help too :X)

It looked like that at the dealership too. I'll see how it looks up here as well, I'm very, very happy with this car. Been wanting an LS1 for the last 6 years or so, finally got around to getting it

the stigma is correct, the m6 cars break their rears like they are going out of style. stock is not very bad, but when modded things start breaking fast. ESPECIALLY when you put a set of drag radials on. its not so much the power, but the drivetrain shocks that do it (launch, 1-2 shift etc.) i wouldnt worry about it though, you'll be alright untill you start modding.
you can go to the gears and axles section to read up on that kinda thing, or search. my rear end broke in january and my car was never on drag radials and never went to the drag strip
btw - check out the for sale section for those wheels, might want to place a want to buy (WTB) ad in the wtb section for them as well
