I have a SOM M6 Z28, thought about getting an SS at first, but fell in love with my car the first time I saw it. I don't even call it a Z28, its a Camaro in my book, everything else is just marketing and bs. I don't have any badges on mine either, the exhaust note is enough to let them know it has big ***** and can swing'em when it needs to.

well maybe they produced more ss's in 2002 but i see alot more z's people keep the ss's nice and in the garage around here. i see way more ws6 around here.

i also thought that the fastest of the 4th gens was like the formula with the light weight package 1LE is it? try explaining that to someone as the reason for ur hard top formula lol.

My dad had a 69 SS back in the day before I came around. Because of that I was only interested in an SS and wouldn't have bought any other model.

A total of 42,098 Camaros were built for the United States.
Z28 or B4C Special Service - 13,614
SS - 11,191

(B4C totals are 708, which leaves 12,456 Z28. I regard a B4C as a Z28 anyway.)

I love my car. I would take an SS but it's always great when my buddies with their SS's say the more they see my car the more they like it more than theirs. LOL

I had a black 98 Z28 then I sold it and bought a 2002 black SS, I get more looks on the SS then I ever did on my Z.

The winner in the looks department is by far and away the WS6. I really wanted a black WS6 when I got my car 4 yrs ago, but they were going for $2,500 more on average. Then I got a steal of a deal on the Z, and now I kinda like how it looks an awful lot like a V6 and doesn't grab your attention if you happe to walk by.

I had a choice when I bought mine, a black 01 SS with nitros lines still on it or a loaded under 2500 miles Z28 with the RS ground fx and in silver. I went with the Z28, most people come up and say like your Z28, but I had 1 time a guy said I should have bought a SS, they come supercharged from the factory.

I have SS badges on what appears to be a z-28 non-ss (i bought it like that). People always ask me if its a v8, even if i say SS. I should just start saying its an SS v6.

i have both "ram air" models. the SS was only cause the price was great and my dad couldn't pass it up. The WS6 is cause i had that "i want a WS6 or nothing" phase.
anybody that says a SS is better than a Z28, or a WS6 is better than a T/A isn't worth my time, so i don't talk to them. same with A4 vs. M6
