What mph should I beable to do in 4th at 6000rpm. I m starting to worry that there is something wrong with my car at speeds over 100. The fastest I have had it to is 125 in 5th and I think it was under 5500 rpms. I always figured 4th would go to 115-120 then 5th would go to 135-140 then 6th would go the rest of the way. Is this right? I'm also afraid to go over 130 with my tires.

I know about that site but its way off. I know the car will not go 134 in fourth gear and or 200 mph at 4500rpm in 6th. This site makes no sense thats why I was asking you guys.

Edit:
Sorry, I am confused. Are you asking us about what could be wrong with the car? Cause the site should be accurate.

guy has a dyno near KC,(don't remember name of place) has a bullit says he owns the fastest car on the Dyno, at 165, well Bad Monkey (my brother) dynos his slightly modded 99 Vette, Dyno shut gown at 200mph. With his new Vette with an ATI, in new york near Ithaca got speedo around 193, Targa top off wnidows down LOUD AS A *****, well slowing down got pulled over for a 93 in a 65. Lol, cop asked why we were speedin, dumbass replies "we weren't, we were slowing down

And those calculations are pretty darn accurate: axle ratio of 3.42, 6th gear ratio of .5, 1800 RPM's at 80 MPH (on dyno), is just about right on, because when I'm driving in 6th at 80, the RPM's are at about 1900.

I've had mine up to about 140, but haven't been that quick since. I hit 110 and 120 every now and then, but even that is still rare.
I remember hearing about a guy on LS1.com way back when who had his A4 2.73 geared Z28 to like 175 on the dyno.

As an example, it takes about 125 rwhp to go 100 mph in an fbody. But to go 200 mph, you need about 500 rwhp.
A stock six speed LS1 car has the power to hit the rev limit in every gear except 6th. If it had the power to max out in 6th gear, the driveshaft would probably fail first due to it's critcal speed being exceeded. Overdrive is a bad thing for high speed cars; you want to gear higher with axle ratios, not the tranny.

This link exists, in part, so that you don't have to ask that question. You just use that calculator.
Of course, when it comes to top speed how much power you have comes into play, but this gives you theoretical values.

I had my old pewter car to 145 twice, once stock and once modded. 130 numerous times though. I have had my current car to 135 twice and 145 once. All of these runs were on the same stretch of country road with no houses around. It's a two lane road in not all that great of shape really. The actual straightaway isn't even a mile long, I just have a decent speed coming onto it. I would like to find a better spot that is smoother and longer, and hit 150+
