Default Fitment issues with air lid

We put on a BBK throttle bodie on my WS6. Well i have the smooth bellow, SLP MAF Sensor, and a SLP air lid. Well with all this on the car the air lid wont even come close to fitting where it should have. Anyone else have this issue before? We had to put my stock bellow back on so that everything would work right? Any input thanks!!

You need to cut the smooth bellow to make it fit.

Just take it slow, little by little. Cut it until you can slide the tabs on the air lid all the way in. Piece of cake.

Yep I just had to cut my smooth bellows a little bit ago, the lid would'nt fit into the tabs. Just cut little by little like redneck Z said. It will eventually fit, just a pain in the *** to keep cutting though.

If you cut it too much and mess it up you can use the stock bellow....it's not like there's a measurable power difference.

Or you could to the Fernco mod....it's a $4 smooth bellow's

Well, I don't know about cutting the smooth bellow. I had the same problem with mine when I put the lid and smooth bellow on and I just wasn't pushing the lid all of the way back before I flipped the spring clamps down. It is more difficult to get the SLP lid in the proper position but it isn't impossible, just push it back in place. It'll be fine.

Search for Fernco, it's a piece of rubber that's about $4 at home depot, does the same thing as the smooth bellow's.
