Default Varying throttle firmness

This is a problem I've had with my car (2002 Z28 M6) since I bought it back in November. For the most part it seems to be dependent on fuel level, for one half of the tank the throttle would be extremely firm and then for the next half it would be relaxed. However, lately it appears to just be changing at random. My car is a daily driver and this has become quite an annoyance to me, so does anyone have any idea what could be causing it? Thanks.

does the annoyance lead to performance issues? Just for reference my throttle seems harder when I have a full tank, but it dont affect my performance any. I run as good with 1/4 tank left as when I have a full tank.

No, it is just a pain since I do a lot of city driving and its annoying to rev match when my throttle's firmness changes so often. I didn't know if it was a common problem that was easily fixed or not.

you mean like a TINY TINY bit depending on road surface? Mine does that too. I like it. Its the feel of the road. That's why I wear dedicated thin soled driving sneakers. I can feel any slight abnormality in the road in my throttle. Keeps me in touch with the car. or maybe I'm just ****** dumb. lol

Now that sounds like a plan!

Have you had the same symptoms and used this fix? Do you have any advice on how to do it?

return spring is on the pedal, the amount of fuel in the tank doesnt affect this, and who said anything about the gas tank

The amount of gas definitely affects the throttle firmness on my car! When I have a full tank it's really easy to push all the way to the floor, seems like it goes there by itself. However, when the tank is almost empty, I can't push the pedal past 10%. Just too darn afraid I'll run out of gas!!!
