Default manual tranny question
this may sound stupid but im pretty new to the ls1 scene. is there a difference between a M6 and a T56 if so what.

Do you have an LS1 in your IROC or is it what you want to do?

M6=manual 6 speed. The T56 is the 6 speed transmission thats in the LS1.

yeah. my iroc has a LS1 from a 98 Z and a T56 from a 00 SS. I'm thinkin about cammin it pretty soon.

Thats awesome, I am gonna swap an LS1 into a thirdgen sometime down the road. IROC's are some of the best looking camaro's and then you add an LS1/2. Damn.

The LT1 also had a t56. They are not the same, but both are T56's.

i originally purchased a T56 from a 96 LT1 to put on my Carbed Vortec 350, but i came across a good deal and upgraded to LS1/T56. my dad is now gonna use the other set up in his 88 GTA
