Question Initial Mods?

I have a completely stock A4 98 Z28. Want to slowly start modifying as the money becomes available. What should I start with. I have about 200 bucks to work with.

$200 isn't going to get you very much to start. You really can't go wrong with a lid though - no matter what your plans are. After that I'd probably look into a catback exhaust.

For $200 I'd do a lid and cutout. Cheapest 20 rwhp you'll ever make.

Search for free mods. Do them.
Either buy a lid or save a little bit more and get a cat-back.
Search for first mods.

Since you only have $200 for your first mod, I would do the lid and filter. If you look hard enough, you can find a used lid thats still in nice shape really cheap, probably even on here. Look in the parts section. Then go with the exhaust.

Save and get a catback.. I don't think I'm going to do a lid before the catback ( sence I can ask for a lid for christmas or something ) where a catback requires a bit more saving.. then move onto Headers and ORY..

I just bought my LS1 about 1.5 month's ago and so far I've installed a lid, ram air kit, headers, ORY, and a catback. I've been very pleased with the results and I can't wait to get a cam installed.
