sup guys...i got a 99 A4 LS1 with just a K&N CAI and its got 131,XXX miles on it...well i hadn't ever been to the track let alone ran a car at one, but lastnite i went and it looks kool and i want a baseline for my car befor i start modding it...it was a very humid night and the track was about 120 degrees....well my first run i spun almost al the way through the 60' and ran like a 10.4 or something (i threw the slip away)...but anyways i was gettin decent traction (I WAS ON STREET TIRES AND 18 INCH HEAVY *** RIMS) and ran a best of

That really bites cause with my 3.8l v6 i was pulling 10.0x in the 1/8th mile and i have 18 inch wheels and a convertible...you might wanna do a tune up or something...and i pulled a better 60' cause i wasnt spinning...

tune up and get it scaned.... i mean your 60 is not too great with the right street tire you should be able to cut a 1.8 on that car but in any carse id imaging anything with those miles needs everything changed (fluids,plugs,filters,wires..ect) i bet you when you get done with a real comprehensive tune up things will look better

he definitely needs to go through and get a total tune up though.

Regular street tires like F1's and KDW's are good for 2.0 60' times with a few banging out 1.9's. The Nittos on the other hand will definately get him into 1.7-1.8 range if he heats them up real good.

It may sound boring but when I had the stock torque converter all I had to do was mash the gas off a straight idle to get a 2.0-2.1 60' everytime. Whenever I would try and stall up I would spin like crazy. Get a tune-up and hit the track when the temperature outside is under 80 degrees. Just one run floor the gas off a straight idle and see what she does. I bet you'll be very happy with the result.
Good luck
