Hey new to the site and new to the car 2002 pontiac T/A "bone stock" just wondering what the TCS button under the radio is? what is its function. Also if anyone can direct me to a good place to buy a ram air hood. Any help is greatly appreciated

TCS = Traction Control System. It comes on by default each time you start the car, if you click it off, it disables the traction control system. That was an option on cars, not all of them have it.

Sucks for racing with it on, but it works great when its raining/wet outside.

Welcome to LS1tech! I've got TCS on my 'bird, and Nineball hit the nail on the head with his comments. Definitely turn it off at the dragstrip, but it will help to keep you out of trouble in wet/snowy weather.

If you want the TCS to stay off all the time, look into getting one of these:

i'll post a pic of her tommorow. I turned the tcs switch off while me and my wife were in the home depot parking lot yesterday and my wife has never did a burnout. So i had her laying down some nice long patches. She really enjoys the car and I like to drive it when she lets me. "if ya know what i mean" My daily driver is a HEMI RAM but ive already put 8+ grand into it. So now its time to make a 10 sec T/A. Thanks for the info and references This is my first pontiac

You have a lot to learn young grasshopper.

An F-body is the code for the Camaro and Firebird chassis. Its the "F" chassis.
If you dont already know, the Camaro and the Firebird are pretty much the same car, the only differences being looks.
