Take my poll.. What do you think? Next mods?
Just wondering what you guys think i should do for my next mods.. My goal is to run a mid to low 11 on motor(If possible at all).. But don't know which route to take.. Current mods are in my sig!
Weight reduction.. or Intake/exhaust mods.. DON'T SAY NITROUS! I wanna try to get as low as possible on MOTOR ONLY! and save the nitrous for last! (along with a built tranny )
I could get a lightweight K-member, and Upper/Lower A-Arms, and relocate battery to the rear.. If i did that for weight reduction it will definately make my times faster.. but i don't know if thats th eway to go or...
Fast 90 intake and either the Fast 90 TB or the Nick williams 90 TB.. and sell my LS6 intake and S3 TB.. and Sell my SLP headers and get some Kooks headers for a little more power?
I pretty much have everything else done.. so what do you guys think?! Thanks

you are not going to get much if anything by going from SLP headers to Kooks besides ground clearance. the 90/90 combo will get some gain, but put the money elsewhere. u could try having someone port ur ls6 mani. the general idea is 100lbs=1/10sec. but it also depends where the weight is lost

Yea i would probabaly end up keeping my SLP's.. and just getting a fast 90/90 combo..
but if i do the weight reduction it will all be in the front of my car.. Does anyone know what kind of weight would be dropped of by adding a lightweight k-member, upper/lower A-Arms, and relocating my battery to the rear?
Anyone have times before and after? Or just know how much weight can be saved?
Thanks guys!

I'd go with the 90/90, but keep the headers you have now and use the money that would have been spent with the header upgrade to get what you can for weight reduction/suspension. And if you really want to go fast motor only, get a bigger cam at some point.

yea its definately a hard choice.. I think i will just have to wait and see what kind of deals i run into and just do them as i go.. I think the weight will make a big difference because of how much drivetrain loss i have from the 9" and converter.. Thanks guys!
I still need to make it to the track and get some times!

I would go for the weight reduction first since you already have headers even if their nit the best. The intake and throttle body would really help out the motor with the heads and cam but I thing you will see better 1/4 mile times by losing as much weight as possible.

I'd do the weight reduction, but do as much in the front as possible. From what I've noticed jacking our T/A up, it's lighter in the back. I'd definitely do the tubular K-member/A-arms, and maybe delete the EGR & AIR. That should shave off about 50 lbs or so. I'm not a big fan of relocating the battery though, because you have to run a lot of heavy cable to get it to the back of the car, which makes for a heavier car. If you have T-tops take them out for better 60' times, leave them in for better MPH. And if money allows, get a carbon fiber hood... supposedly a lot lighter than stock.

Removing T-tops? You run at a track that lets you run without T-tops?
Edit: I call that you can see a difference in 60' based on removing the weight of the T-tops anyway.

Man the poll is very close now! I still can't decide what to do lol.. How dependable are the light weight K-members for daily driving? and how hard are they to install? The upper and lower A-Arms are simple installs though right?
Still can't decide what to do.. need more comments and votes! Thanks guys!

No, you wouldn't see hardly any difference... I was bored and tired when I posted the T-top thingy.
As far as reliability of tubular stuff under your front end, it's every bit as reliable as OEM, more still if you spring for chromemoly.

Battery relocation is a great mod, it is 80lbs worth of weight transfer, however if you are going to do it and run at the track, then you have to mount an external kill switch.(read drill a hole in the back of your car)
another opion is a lightweight drycell battery.
k member and a arms if i remember right is about 70lbs of weight loss.
oh and mid 11's is easy all motor
