I'm a newbie with barely any experience, so go easy on me guys. I have an 02 Z28 with an auto tranny and magnaflow exhaust. I was thinking about slapping on a cold air intake system, cylinder heads, and a cam shaft. Im getting high quality parts (haven't picked out specifics yet) and was wondering what type of HP gains i could expect(rough estimations will be fine). Also, i was considering lt headers, but seeing how the car doesn't have enough room to accomodate true duals, i was wondering if it would be worth the price and extra heat my engine would be exposed to. Thanks alot.

An 01 or 02 is very easy to "wake-up!" My 01 really only has a lid, long tubes, a cam, and a cut-out and it's making 381rwhp and running over 113 mph at 1250 feet altitude.

You need to read a lot. Duals can be put on your car, without a problems. I have 3" duals. Headers aren't going to increase heat in the engine bay. Your power could range frm 350rwhp to 450rwhp depending on how radical you go with your heads/cam and bolt-ons. There has been 500rwhp cars but they are manual and have top of the line everything.

This forum is a important tool. Read it, use it, and look at the dyno section and you will see the answers to all the questions you have. 400 to the rear wheels with just a cam and headers is possible.

heafty cam + headers + bolton's and you're going to make right around 400rwhp, maby a little less with the auto tranny.
cam + heads + headers + boltons - normal numbers seem to be anywhere from 430-470rwhp with normal stuff. 500rwhp is much easier to reach with more cubic inches, you will be able to retain a little more streetability this way as well.
first thing i would look into if i was you would be a nice 3500ish stall converter, do some research (i'm a 6-speed guy
)and you'll figure out what you need.

do some basic bolt on mods before getting into cams and headers, there is alot to learn, you dont want to get a cam then decide later that it was not what you were really looking for. get a lid, Fast Toys Ram Air, ported throttle body, or even a converter before you get a cam and heads, just my IMHO
