I gotta say, two cars with engines running at the same level, with identical modifications, one being auto and one being manual, that if the manual is driven flawlessly then the manual is going to win, assuming both cars can launch without drama. Simply due to more power getting to the ground. Autos are vastly more consistent, and an auto ripping apart a stick car in a drag race is nothing new. Still, there are some really good stick drivers out there.

Dunno ... last I heard, An A/T WS6 Trans Am ranks #1 ( as for fastest LS1's) at the track and it's nearly a full second faster that the fastet M/T. Yeah, I know ... the cars aren't equal ... until then, it's an auto at the top!
I voted for Firebird A4 ... it's so relaxing to drive but can be brutal if I want to be. I just couldn't make a real good case for getting a manual. Besides, who would hold my coffee on my way to work in the morning???
