ls1 heads casting number 853 i seen a set of heads with the casting number 853 on them,, usually ls1 heads say 241 etc,, does anyone know what these are of off,, are they truck heads?

Yep, and the 853s are a rougher sand cast while the 241s are a much smoother cast because of the process and mold. The 853s are still pretty good though, they are getting the job done on my car.
