Default 99 camaro ss

i was looking at a 1999 camaro ss - 15,000 - yes 15k not 150. Red with powder coated zr1 rims.. the lady wanted 16k for it.. also has a 60k mile warranty or 2010 what do you guys think about this? i think its a hell of a deal but i just dont like the fact that its a 1999 - i just wanted to know how reliable they are vs like a 2001 or 2002.

id say go for it the 99 will run just as nice as the 2001 i think u just got egr to remove and u need to buy a ls6 intake. thats a decent price for the milage i paid 13.5 for mine with 54k on the clock. just that warrenty wont do **** if u start modding but even without the warrenty its still great

pretty much i just dont like the fact its 1999 but i absolutely love the car and that the fact that it was women driven... probably wasnt beat the **** out of. only thing is the oil might have not been changed in a while and such thats the stuff i want to look in to and the other fact that it's 100 miles away to go there. im prolly gonna still look around but i wanna take this offer

It's a good price I paid 13k for mine with 17k on the clock a little over a year ago. It has run flawlessly since.

I personally do not understand your aversion to ’99 cars. It sounds like a very fair deal, excluding any unpleasant surprises. Does it have the additional SLP Auburn Differential, Bilstein Suspension, or exhaust options? If so, I would say it is a very good deal, if you do not plan on modding.

Personally I think $16K is a little high for a 99. There's nothing wrong with 99's, but I've seen 01-02 SS's for $17-$18K not too much more than $16K with low low miles, and the 01-02's have the upgraded sound system and the LS6 intake... I wouldn't pay more than $14K myself. But that's just me... if it's worth it to you pay it.

all you have to do is remove the egr, ( EASY! ) and put on a ls6 intake ( again EASY! ) like that guy before me said. also if you gonna leave the internals alone, the 99's had the biggest stock cam. i'm a big fan of my 99', and it's ignorant to say you dont like that care just because of the fact it's a 99. buy it, and never look back.

I love my '99 SS! I got it maybe a week ago or so (?) I paid $15,000 with 11,870 on the clock. I say jump on it, but you should be able to bring the price down a tad.

i do plan on modding not much though.. prolly a cutout / lid / maybe a stall and a small shot of spray 50-100 i want this to be my DD for the next couple years.. im starting to get real familiar with the engines and internals since ive been on these forums.. so im pretty damned sure i think it would last if i didnt beat on this but its gonna be so hard not to
