free ram air mod info please
i thought the free ram air mod, was for non ram air cars, could someone clear this up for me, my lower air box has nothing to cut to improve airflow, so i guess i'm asking what is the free ram air mod on a 2002 ws6?

Both ram air and non-ram air cars will benefit from this modification. Go to the web address below to see the "free" ram air page.

Good luck!

I did it on mine and the AIT climbed way up in the summer! I watched it on autotap - 106F with free ram air - blocked it off and went down to 94F instantly! It sucks hot air up off of the radiator. In the colder weather, it may work, but...
You are much better off to remove the baffles on the WS-6 and either make or buy a seal to seal the hood to the box. Air through the front of the hood (not mixed with any other air) is as good as you can get!
It worked for me.

I'm curious, when you atap it were you driving?
Wouldn't the Supersucker(SSRA) be about the same temp as the hood inlets temp. I'd think this would be true since it's taking in air before the radiator.

Re: free ram air mod info please
I can't say what it does w/TAs:but my IAT temps have not significantly changed w/my Z. But I'm running a modded thermo and earlier fan turn on. I can't really see the FRA mod changing IAT so significantly as to hinder performance, especially since once you are moving you are picking up more cold air. IMO.

Somethings killing my 60's (and its not no traction, it flat out hooks), and I figured the FRA might be the cause. So, I ordered the BGRA setup, and blocked off where I had cut the FRA. Havent been to the track with it yet, but I figure it may help.
Anybody had any before/after testing for this?
