Catalytic Converters
Hi, I have a 98 WS-6. Only mod is SLP catback. I would like to punch out my cats since I intend to put on headers and an o/r y pipe soon enough anyways. If I do so, 1st.. will my car sound like ***? 2nd. will i throw a ses light if i get O2 Sims? Help please!!

honestly u wont get much ... there are only 2 converters and they flow fairly well for stock cats. Mustangs have 6 cats and the bigger ones down further are very restrictive so u do notice pretty good gains on those cars.

yeah that should do the trick .... o and some people say it gives it a raspy hollow sound ... but depending on which slp catback it is it should still be mellow unless it the lounmouth then it could be pretty nasty.

If you hollow your cats now your just going to be putting alot of effort into something thats going to net you a minimal gain at best. Plus this effort will just be lost anyway when you put the headers on. IMO just leave your cats alone and just wait for the headers.
