STP Octane Booster
Who all has used this and with what starting octane...I just put it in my tank which was full of 93 octane so will i actually be running close to 100 now? What are your experiences...does it clean the system well and leave noticeable power gains or just while its in the tank? Figured I couldn't go wrong for 3 bucks! Thanks!

If your car runs fine one the required octane, you dont need to go higher. If you have increased compression, added forced induction, etc and tuned it for a higher octane, then you need higher octane. The LS1 is tuned to run on 91+ octane. 91-93 octane is all that is needed. Anything higher is just a waste of money and could actually rob fuel economy.

That stuff is mainly to clean the GUNK build up from over time. the only thing your going to Notice is how the Car Should BE running 1 bottle about every 3k Miles is good

I was told although the bottle says it will raise your octane by 4 points they really mean 0.4 points.
I would bet it is true. I beat the bottom end to death on a high compression 455 using that stuff. The engine was almost 12 to 1 and the best pump fuel I could get at the time was 93.
Save your money.
Like others mentioned, you don't need it. It will not add power to your car.

octane booster and injector cleaner are almost the same anyway the injector cleaners made of what jet fuel? same as some octane boosters... i run an octane booster Once In A While "turbo 108" or "pj1" or "nos" all good imo, have used stp works good for cleaning the injectors. but i run them for the purpose of cleaning the fuel system or crappy gas.. even buying the high test i still seem to get crappy gas once in a while.

thanks a lot for the input yall...im about halfway through my tank now and i haven't noticed a tremendous difference in power....but i will say that for some reason when i start and accel, the ever so notorious LS1 tick is prolly 70% quieter even though i have been using 93 octane since i owned the car and from good gas stations (shell, exxon, kroger once in a while...lol)

That stuff is BS. Put it in a tank of 93 and it MIGHT make it 94 octane, probably not even that much difference though honestly. If you want some cheap octane booster mix in some toluene or xylene in a 2:1 ratio and use ~3 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil per gallon of toluene/xylene to lubricate the mixture since the toluene/xylene are dry fuels. 10 gallons of 93 with 5 gallons of toluene/xylene is right at if not more than 100 octane.
