Help me price my car please!
I have a 2001 SOM Z28 with 77k miles, and i'm thinking about selling it, however i'm not sure how much to ask! I looked up the kbb value and it said 10xxx for good condition, which i think mine is considered good. it has a few body blemishes, nothing major, and the interior is a 9/10. the wheels/tires i would say are a 4 or 5/10. i was planning on putting some chrome c5's with bfg kdws on it but untill then i threw some random used tires on to get me by. for an asking price i was thinking 11,800.
please look at my cardomain and help me price it!
thanks guys.

Very area dependent. I've shopped for LS1s twice, both times bought from out of town cause they sell for so high in my town, you would easily get 11.8 here. A used car lot near my house sold a 98 Formy w/90k on it in May for about that. But in some places, would languish unsold for that price.

I'd have paid at least 13 and been a happy I made the purchase I paid 109XX for my Z28 w/ 90XXX miles I do alot of driving and I'm piling on the miles I would've gladly paid a few extra K for a car with less miles if I had've looked harder.

I paid 10.5 for my SS w/47k (RIP ) back in March 04, had it shipped down from New Hampshire for ~ $850, and I was still way ahead of what I would have paid here, figure 2-3k worth of less.
When I was car shopping for it's replacement this May, I considered an immaculate M6 98Z in Boston area, low miles for 10.5. It was a clone of my dearly departed car, except not an SS. I ended up buying a low miles A4 Z28 out of Iowa for a little over 8k. I flew out there to pick it up, drove it back. Even after all the trip expenses, I was way ahead again this time.
Like in real estate, with LS1 fbods, location makes a big difference.

I was looking for a WS6 and saw a lot of LS1's around 16 and 17 with that mileage, and the rest for 20 and 25k, so If you ask for 16 they might tell you they have 15 or even 14 thatll still be fine, or ask for 16 or something to trade maybe a motorcycle? maybe you get 10 for the car and an ok motorcycle .. Itll just take patience my friend but if you need the money fast then might have to give a better price, but good luck with it I just told you what prices were around here in Maryland cuz I found finally my WS6 with 22197 miles, and was $24993 and there was one with 67k miles and It was around 20's still
for reference go to Auto Trader and Auto Extra and auto mart
K man good luck

DFW... I was looking at a couple of cars out there. One was a very pretty red 98 TA with ~ 75k on it, A4, loaded. It was at a dealership (trade in) listed on ebay. Only thing wrong was some paint damage on the drivers 1/4 panel, maybe 2-300 buck fix. And the tires looked a little thin. The salesguy that replied when I sent a question was a huge jerk. All I asked was for an estimate of the amount of tread left. He got all bent out of shape. I replied back with a FU.
It had a buy it now price of 9.3 if memory serves, and didn't meet the reserve, got relisted. I kept an eye on it out of curiosity, think it went for ~ 8.6 the second time around. My impression after a month of online car shopping, WS6s bring money, more than SSs, Cali = sellers market, DFW = buyers. But don't take my word for it, do a search on ebay completed listings, look in the paper, etc. Good luck.
