Yea,..... I know!
Funny story though. I'll kep it short....
So after I swaped it I was hoping to feel a diference. So I cleaned up and lit a cig to relax. Took it for a test drive and one thought came to mind. "Twinkle Toes"! She felt,.in a word,.........light on her feet(tires). So,.I started think'n that I was a good idea that I swapecd it. Went to autozone to drop off a tool to a buddy who works there and as soon as I got out of the car,..I lost my balance. I was soo frig'n dizzy and I felt "Light on my Feet"! It was then that I realized that that feeling I had about the car,...was really me. I guess all dem fumes got to my head and smoke'n that cig sealed the deal. Anyways,.I'm sure that I will feel the difference the swap made,..tomoarrow when I don't feel high as a kite!

Oh my God! Looks like you filtered coffee grounds through it. I would be damned surprised if you don't feel a difference.

Wix fuel filters are ~$20, so maybe i got the same thing for $7 less?
thats what i got today for like $14.xx.....couldnt really tell a diff though, and i think the car still had the acdelco stock filter on.

Can a faulty/clogged fuel filter cause the engine to keep dying? I have a thread going, but nobody's responded: Car keeps dying...

It would have to be very clogged for your car to keep dying. Have you checked your fuel pressure? Whenever you say that it's dying, do you mean while driving or idling? I need more info.

I'm going to change the one in the Z this weekend, it's got 80k on the original. Trying to decide if I should seafoam it first though.

okay, so i just got done changing my fuel filter. i took a shower and i still smell like gasoline
i did a stupid thing, though. when i took off the old fuel filter, i never made a mental note to remember how far into the nut of the fuel filter the threaded bolt went into it on the metal fuel line side.
when i put in the new fuel filter (napa gold), i wasn't able to get the threaded bolt on the metal fuel line all the way into the stationary nut. basically, if you can picture this, the two nuts aren't touching each other. there's like a centimeter between them. now, i started the car up and revved the engine and let it idle for a few minutes and there was no dripping, nor was the filter wet anywhere. i'm letting it sit on my driveway pad for a few hours to see if anything drips. do you guys think it's tight enough? or did you guys get the two nut heads to touch on the metal fuel line side? i'm scared i'm gonna go WOT and blow my fuel line open...or am i just paranoid?
