Here's what I keep thinking. With the extra money that you'd spend on get'n a supercharged Cobra why wouldn't you use that extra cash to supercharge your LS1?.........OMG,.......then you'd be really kick'n the **** out of a Cobra.

POLL: COBRA vs. WS6 #2
Ok well it seems the last poll wasnt very fair considering the cobra was far more modded than the ws6 so I want to see everyones opinion on this one.
03-04 Cobra STOCK
vs
01-02 WS6 STOCK
Cobra being about $2k more
Which would you choose and why, if you were gonna buy a new car....also try not to be biased towards GM even tho they are the best

I'd take the Cobra because they are usually cheaper to mod (up to a certain point) and the FI makes a huge difference up here in the land of 5300+DA. Also they are newer than f-bods. There are other reasons too but I don't feel like getting into them.

Personally I would say cobra because I'm in the market for one. They look good, but I don't think they look better than a WS6 or SS....Engine is made to handle boost from the factory. The blower makes me want to bust a nut and the sound of a mustang is just........Well everyone knows about the sound of a mustang. So I voted cobra, but knowing that you already have a WS6 I would just get a built engine and put on a procharger....Then you'll have a REAL BEAST on your hands...

the 03-04 cobra has not shown if it will be as reliable as the ls1. it has a problem cooling the heads. and some more engine design problems. the ford guys talk about it all the time on the svt forum. also i was looking on autotrader and there are alot of em for sale it seems people dont hold on to them very long

The bottom line is that you should get the car that you want. Who cares
what we think and creating poll after poll about it is going to get you
nowhere. Make a decision. You can't go wrong with either car.

If so, you should hang out in the forced induction section more.

are absolutely faster stock for stock. There is no questioning that.
See...I was thinking that GM has to use a big cube high compression
motor just so that could stay within 5 car lengths of a Cobra.
It works both ways...and both arguements are equally as pathetic.
Wake up and have a cup of reality.

BTW the mods that were done to this car arent ones you would want to do if you didnt have to. The build Suspension and build fuel system is something i personally wouldnt want to deal with and now that is done for you. For the "fun to do mods" they havent done to many, plus you can always for Whipple or KB and your going to be !!! So for these guys who say dont buy it becaues its modded and whats the fun? Well everything! knowing you have a clean car, the mods were done professionally and they are all the PITA mods so you dont have to pay for them or find someone to do them for you! Win Win situation if you ask me.

the head problem is only for the cars produced after 11/02/02......you gotta be careful with us cobra owners, i tell people i have head tick all the time and it makes them wanna run me when i say what it is.....BTW, there are 800+HP cars running with head tick just fine. There are no other engine problems otherwise, at least not that i can find in mine or have heard of, and i read LOT about these cars.
