you want 1/4 mile? Get a 3-speed tranny with a 4000 stall, and pick the right gear so your car runs out of breath right after you cross the finish line. Top end? Get a 2.73's, a trans cooler, a turbo, and a 200mph speedo. Street/strip? Get 3.42's, 2600 stall, call it a day!

2600 stall!! wouldnt that be really small? im leaning toward a 3200 vigilante just to have an all around nice daily driver. plus ive talked to some sponsors and they told me thats more than enough. my car will never see the track anyways.

IMO 3200rpm stall is a much better starting point.

Well, the guy with the fastest f-body in this area has a 3000 stall. When he leaves a light, it sounds like it's a manual and he's riding the everloving **** outta the clutch. 3200 just doesn't seem low enough for a daily driver. Taking off normal you will just sound like it's a stick and you don't know how to drive, it's whatever you want though it's your car. I say no more than 3200 for a daily driver and I wouldn't go over 2800 myself.

3,200 will be fine for a DD, I had my 3,000rpm stall in there 6 months now, drives fine just feels a little looser than the stock stall.

Nothing beats me away from the lights in the UK but I don't have much competion over here! 0-60mph in 5 seconds eats everyhting except super cars in the UK!

2.73 gears don't seem to spin much off the line. 2.0 is easy to get if your not spining
They don't with a stock stall, but put a 3,000rpm + stall in there and my lights em up so much now I need DR's for Drag racing. I can't get off the line now because of wheelspin.

Same thin on the street, lights the tires for 30 to 40ft now if I turn off the ASR (traction control) good fun though!
