SS hood If I get a SS hood is there anything special I need to make it functional, The hood itself is functional. I already have a slp lid and k&n filter.

I like the way it looks. I have been wanting one for awhile and found a place that paints them online and shipped for like 800 bucks.
edit- I would like to be funtional tho that is why I am asking if there is anything special I need. Like a different lid etc.

I don't have anything to add about the hood, aside from I'd like one someday, just for looks. Just wanted to compliment your car. It seems like no one around here likes the awesomeness that is Gold.

the LS1 ram air boxes are not sealed like the LT1 ram air was. you can seal it up, you can probably find out how with a search or post in the appearance or external sections.

Do it as an appearance mod. I have the Suncoast Creations SS hood, but ditched all the "functional ram-air" stuff and sold it on here. IMO, a good lid and something like SSRA or FTRA is the way to go...

i would say he found it on ebay considering that is where i was going to buy mine. then i had a couple of paint shops tell me not to do this because it is fiberglass so there is possibilty of waves and it will also look bad if you do no blend your fenders with the hood. IMO i dont really want to have a **** hood but i also dont want to pay 600 for just painting the hood. if u get the hood let me know how it looks
