As has been said several times already, invest in a line-lock kit. You're gonna fry your rear brakes doing it the way you are. I really don't like doing burnouts because they are really hard on everything. Tranny (A4), brakes and tires all take a beating

With the added torque and hp of a cam, needing a linelock for my car has become less of a concern, I've been able to to hold a burn out from the water box to the staging lights for roughly 15 seconds starting DRY!
That was with Nitto 315 wide tires...
during that time I can tap the brakes ever so lightly if I want to decrease distance, or I can start it wet and get it going for as long as 25 seconds... once I get gears in, I'll be doing 2nd gear burn outs instead to get more speed out of the tires. These days it's become more of a challenge NOT to spin the tires off the line.

Does anyone know the feeling you get after you do a burnout or race somebody. I get this weird feeling every time i'm hard on my car, it's hard to explain....maybe someone else has felt it. LoL. Maybe i'm just weird.

LoL, it sucks that it's winter. I have been reading so much on this site, i'm just overwhelmed with everything i don't even know what to do with myself. I just want everything and want it now. Haha. Next year i'm doing the LS6 intake headers off road Y, and a true dual setup and throttle body. That should really wake up this beast.....
oh yeah, i also need to lower it and get the SS hood and spoiler... i'm looking at about 2500$ worth of stuff.

that was the sickest burnout ive ever seen.
man, I thought i got some nice smoke on mine the time i was being hard on it but crap it looked like a factory's chimney was under the bridge.

Happens at first, the more you get use to 100+ MPH speeds, racing, and burning out, it doesn't provide the same feeling, but still fun.
When I first got my LT1 a long time ago after a race my hands or feet would be shaking from the adrenaline. Happened slightly when I first got my LS1 because its quite a bit faster, but now it all is just procedure. The only time I get any feeling anymore is if its REALLY close and I win or lose by a fender or door or something.
Its cool, all normal feelings.
