take a stethiscope and check and see if thats coming from the head or not....its hard to tell on the video, but i mean it could be anything from a broken injector, cracked spring, or one of your plug wires might be off and it might be arching.....those are my best ideas

now when i put my hand over the filter i belive its one of the filters? it stops the ticking but the knocing and almost like grinding is still there heres pic i stole the pic from another site sorry
i also have another video of it but its like 6mins long and the ticking starts middle way throught of it, i will see if i can load it because i dont want to get rid of the car but the way its sounds when i start it, it makes my nerves jump and when its sitting in park or drive i can feel it like a up and down bounce going on.

man just take off your valve cover and see if youve got a broken spring and you've been driving around with that for a couple of months, must not be to serious.

injector. A valve spring would not be that rapid.

That is way too rapid to be a valve spring or exhaust leak. My old 5.0 had an exhaust leak and it was a 1-2 second pause between pulses.

how much oil pressure at 2 k this is just my thought .if it does this at operating temp its not piston slap.sounds like youve spun a bearing at first its not gonna affect oil pressure alot, but if you drive it alot it will ruin the rest of the bearings.second possibility
spun cam bearing, that ticking was lifters hands down, when a cam bearing goes down you will lose pressure to the valvetrain cusing the lifters to not pump up.have you checked the oil and filter for metal.i personaly wouldnt sell a car to somebody doing this.unless its to a dealer there mostly ripoffs anyway.

it only knocks or taps when i start it up in the moring once it gets warm theres no problems, but when its cold and i drive it when it goes to shift into second it sounds like it wants to blow the heads off, it raps like crazy over 3,000 rpm but when it gets warm it calms down. the oil stays at 45-60 psi when cold and will stay at 40-50 ish till it gets up over 180 degress closer to 210 the oil seems to drop to 25 ish and the longer you drive it the more it stays at 20 but in park or netural it will keep around 30-40 ish its a 98 a4 stock expect the for lid. with school and working part time looks like if i trade it will only be able to get into a 01 blazer

Sounds like lifters to me, maybe you have a bad oil pump? I'll post this in the internal section and see if guys can help you out in there as well.

Put on a K&N 2006 oil filter, it will boost your pressure a bit.

My oil pressure used to drop down that low untill I put in a ported/shimmed oil pump with my cam, but it never made that noise. Now it sits on 35-40psi when fully warmed up and hits 65+ under WOT.

Pinch of your AIR hoses while it's running and see if it stops, might be a check valve.

If it's a bad bearing, the motor has to come out and be rebuilt. I was thinking the ticking was an injector and the other noise were lifters. You say that the noises stop after its warmed up. If it were a bearing the noises would continue.
