HID install problem PLEASE HELP
Hey I got the HIDS today and tried installing them. I followed the directions, took out the original headlight, mounted the box in the engine bay and plugged the box into the input connector from the fuse box then the Ballast to the box output cable and turned on the headlamps and they did not turn on at all. I then plugged the original stock headlight back in and it drew full power. I then switched the high beam light out and plugged the HID to the high beam output source and the light flickered but never turned on. Do you have any ideas what is wrong. I had a friend who is very good with electronics and who installed HIDS on his F150 help me out and we can not figure it out. Could I have been sent the high beams instead of the low beams? The lights are HID Xenon System 8000K with the 9006 bulbs.

Please tell me you checked the fuses! Mine did the same thing. It said something was wrong w/ my wiring in the trouble shooting guide, but that was BS. I put in 5amp bigger fuses in, and have ran them for 2+ months now, no issues.

No i did not change the fuses. THat was one of my thoughts. I think that my car came with a 10 amp fuse, not sure. I will go to Kragens tomorrow and get a 15 or 20 amp fuse. Hopefully that will work.

I meant check the in-line fuse on the lighting system.. There is one of those right? Mine was located between the ballast and the bulbs... I think mine was a 10am stock, they blew so i put it 12.5s or 15s i dont remember..

i dont think that there is a fuse between the ballast and the projector, any pics, its simply a cord from the ballast to a male and female plug that matches with the plug on the projector. the brand is HID Xenon System and the ballast has Hamda or something like that written on that.

ya i believe so here are some pics that i just snapped. I went outside and switched the plugs from the stock male outlet, the grey one and rotated it 180 degrees and the light flickered when i turned the head lamps on. They were lit for less than a second and only on the passenger side.
Here are some pics

I'm getting projectors any day now myself.
Have H3 8000K HID's on the way too. Will be selling HID 8000K 9006's now.

ya i am running the stock housings and hopefully i will figure this out with the 9006 8000k bulbs. The instructions for the kit says that it wont work with 9005/6 bulbs but i was assured they would work and that is how they were sent from the manufacturer
