i appreciate it guys.. thats perfect.. i threw them the offer of 21g althought the guy said that the main man was pretty firm on the price. on my test drive i was rowing through the gears and got a sweet chirp out of 3rd gear with the salesman and a 200+ lb passanger. that sold me

anyway i never got to introduce myself being that was my frist post.. im actually an ex ford/stang guy but decided to give gm another fair chance. cuz after all i am a CAR enthusiast.. not just fords.

ive had a couple decent cars worth mentioning.. all sold now

01 cobra catback,xpipe,cai,underdrives, 315drs- 12.92 @ 106.1

96 cobra catback, Xpipe, CAI,maf, 410s. no driver mod- 14.1 @ 101

88 GT H/C/I 13.0 @ 106 (not my driving)

90 IROC full bolt on TPI 350 auto. never ran it..twas a POS.

currently on the LS hunt. prefferably SS but will go WS

A dealership that is firm on price? LOL

They probably took that one in on a trade-in for $16K

Most likely. They are gonna make money off of it one way or another.

If it is a dealership, I doubt they paid that much (16k) for it on a trade.

The price seems a tad high; hell mine is in better shape with lower miles and a rag-top to boot!

Better deal!

hey man, i drove 125 miles for my deal. $14,500 for an '01 formula w/24,900 on the clock. came with a corsa catback w/3.5 premium tips, ZO6 rims and a lid, plus they gave me $1,100 more for my car than it was bluebooked. of course, it didn't hurt that i had cash. they even bought me pizza for lunch good deals are out there. look as long as necessary and don't be afraid to drive to get it.

They're gonna make a ton of money off of it if it sells for 23,xxx. The salesman alone will probably get a grand or 2. I think 20k is a somewhat fair offer since you're dealing with a dealership who has taken alot of the legwork out of it for you. That's just the price ya pay. Goodluck.

I dunno if you got it yet or not, but there is a very nice 02 SS Orange 6-Spd with 30600mi near portland maine. it's on Maineautomall.com I have seen it in person and it is in awsome shape. They are asking just under 20k for it right now but I was looking back in Jan/Feb and they only wanted $17,500 for it. I'm not sure how far away you are but it's a great buy around 18500

Yours is also an A4. Not going to step on any feet but from what I've seen the 6speeds fetch more.

I paid 22K for mine and it is pretty much the exact same car with about the same milage. Just remember a car is only worth what your willing to pay for it, so if 22k is to steep it not worth it.

Still a rip-off...

Just sold my '02 SS ragtop with 9600 miles for 21k flat. I think I could have got more, but the guy will take care of her and it seems rag-tops are hot-or-cold.

If they wont take 18k max, they are on crack.

If you can afford it, I say buy it. I myself don't like to go back and forth on price. I'd rather just walk in and pay what they want and drive it home. Now my parents will spend 2 months going back and forth on price and going around to different dealers. It's all in how much you are willing to pay and how much you want the car.
