Default Cigarette lighter

Well i don't smoke but i use my cigarette lighter for my radar. Recently it just stopped working. I really don't know much about cars but I was wondering what it could be and if was something i could fix easily. I know its not the radar because i tested it in a different car thanks. Thanks.

Check the fuse box on the front left part of your dash under your light switch.. There is the fuse for accessories I think which is probably your problem..

Mine did the same thing not to long ago and it was just a blown fuse.. so check that first

It could be from not using it for its purpose of lighting cigarettes But on a serious note its probally the fuse, if it isnt that then pull the center council and make sure its plugged in, I can imagine those plastic clips can break and then take it from there

If not the fuse, it is possible that the connection in back got disconnected somehow. Pulloff the panel and make sure it is connected.

The radar detector cord itself could have a fuse, try the cig lighter and see if it works, or a cell phone charger.

If any of those work then its the cord, just hardwire the radar detector.

Peace,
Craig.

Check the "CIG/ACCY" fuse.
