I didn't know Whisper had a rubber fitting, that probably would have swayed my decision a little bit, I just think the SLP logo looks like it's supposed to be there

Why pass it up for only $100? Its a great 1st mod, cleans up engine bay, and gives a little power as well.

I thought I read somewhere that SLP was coming out with a new injection molded lid. All of the other lids on the market are vacuum formed and that's why the fit is so bad. Has anyone else heard about this new lid?

A bunch of horse ****, my SLP lid fits like a glove clips and all. Peeps need to understand there's more to it then just replacing a lid, you might have to mod your OEM bellow, SLP bellow or whatever the f%#@ you're using just a little.
That's what i had to do with my SLP bellow especially after installing 80mm BBK T/B. No big f'n deal.

Um...a new catback exhaust i'd say is the easiest(cuz u take it to a shop, hand them money, then drive away with a new exhaust ha) and most common, but from here on out it's pretty much pick your poison. but my vote is for exhaust including LT headers.

Whoever said Whisper fits like **** must not have installed very many of them.

I've owned two myself, both fit 100% perfect on three different cars for 8+ years combined. And I've installed a few others for local guys over the years without issues as well. I actually have a harder time getting the SLP lids to fit right, they usually take some extra work.

If that is true, they will likey be very pricey compared to the current lids on the market. But if they quality is up to OEM standards, it might be worth it.
