Anyone with MTI whisper lid?
Hey I just puschased the clear whisper lid from ws6store.com...It came in a blank box with no instructions or anything. I went to install it and the lid does not even fit into the location. Also it did not come with a sensor that goes on the lid. Anyone else not happy with the " whisper" lid?

I have the MTI clear lid and it fits like a glove, some people it fits great others it takes some 'tweaking' and you have to take the sensor and grommet out of your stock air lid

Here is a link on how to install a lid:

No lids come with the IAT sensor. My MTI lids fit great. I've never seen a Whisper lid fit very good and the SLP lids I've seen rub the hoods (mainly SS hoods).
BTW- The owner of MTI (Jayson Cohen), invented the LS1 lid design that everybody copies today.
Peace,
Craig.

You need to drill your own hole for the AIT.

i have the carbon fiber lid and it fit good. It's real tight and snug. just make sure when putting the new lid on you push the clips on the new lid all the way back before trying to clasp the clamps on.

So far every time I've had someone come to me with a lid that doesn't fit right, I'm able to get it to fit perfect within a few mins......

I've had 2 MTI Clear Lids the first one they sent me did not fit right so I sent it back, they sent me out a new one and it fits like a glove. you have to drill out a hole for you sensor but thats not difficult, I just reused my stock sensor. Tip: I had a hard time getting the stock sensor out and ended up using a hairdryer to heat the plastic around it and it came out after that
