Default need advice about installing headers.

i planning to do it this sun/mon. I never installed headers, and a seem to hear a lot of people saying they have to put a couple blocks of wood under the jack to lift it higher. how safe is that? and if could see some pics it would be big a help.

I just jacked mine up enough to be able to put the front wheels on ramps (seeing how you can't just drive up on them).

After that I would jack the rear wheels up and put them on ramps also. After getting all four wheels up on ramps I like to mount 2 sets of jackstands under the car. I guess I'm kind of a safety monkey. Oh well.

By getting the rear wheels up even with the front it gives plenty of room to do the install. I'm a big guy so if I can do headers with this little of room - you can too! Good luck!

i just installed my pacesetters. one thing u can do to get your car up higher is to use spare tire. put your spare tire down, and put a jack on top of that and jack your car up..works wonders.

You can not over do it when taking safety precautions while working under a car that is on jack stands.

Jack & jackstands work fine. I jack up front & rear. Driver side header goes in facing the front of the car and rotate it in. Passenger goes right up.
