rear end opinion 3.73 or 4.11?
my rear end is done i just dont have the money for a 12 bolt of a 9" so i am going to have to waste some money on a set of gears for the 10 bolt. what gears should i go with it is a M6 01 SS the factory gears are 3.42 i am thinking about eather 3.73 or 4.10/11 what do you guys think?

With a m6 car, 4.10s/11s should be the choice without even thinking about it. I had a buddy on here get a 12 bolt with 3.73s. He said he could barely tell a diff. So, after a very short while, he swapped them out for 4.30s. Now he runs a 9in with 4.11s. I have 4.10s in my car, and will never have a NUMERICALLY lower ratio than that.

How come you put a corvette intake on your car? From 01 on up to when they got rid of the 5.7 LS1/LS6 which 04 was the last year of them the corvettes and camaros had the exact same intake manifold, which would be the LS6.

3.73s or 4.10s
Hi,
I don't have an LS1 yet, but I would go with a set of 3.73s. I've had stock 3.42s, 3.73s and 4.10s and I feel that the 3.73s gives you the best of all worlds in terms of coming out the hole, midrange, topend, cruising at 70-80mph, and fuel economy. Like I said, I don't have an LS1, but in the case of my LT1, that was the case.
My vote...3.73s.

I had 3.42's and everybody said that with the 3.73's i would not feel a whole lot of differance LOL thats a load of crap.
Do the 3.73's you will be happier in the long run
