Why is everyone saying cat-back, he has a cutout...

I'd do Headers and ORY Pipe or sub-fram connectors(maybe). That's assuming your 83K mile car has up to date maintenance. If it doesn't or you don't know I'd replace your tranny fluid, brake/clutch fluid, check your pads, replace the fuel filter, oil/filter, check/replace rear differential fluid. I'd make sure your shocks are in good shape and replace them if they are not way before doing any other modifications.

I put subframe connectors. Keep the car from flexing and get yourself a set of weld-in subframes, preferably the double diamond style. You'll notice an immediate difference in the handling of the car.

Assuming the car is payed for, I would look for used parts on this web page. If your car is manual I would say clutch. I would do a complete tune-up with either and look for some better SOFTER tires.

I'd go 9" if you have the money. I went through THREE rears in my A4 without heavy mods! That car had a Love/Hate relationship with DR's.
But if you would rather mod in other ways, LT's would be the top choice.

I voted Moser but I'd go shocks before anything. At the least just the rear shocks.

SFCs. Lays the groundwork for keeping the car stiff and better traction/handling.

Rearend with drag radials. If you cant get traction then what's the point in having lots of power and not able to put it down. If you figure with a rear and gears and some sticky rubber your gonna be hauling.
